Great
“Newly weds of 2006 we decided that we would like to work together in our Marriage and to that end decided that hospitality was crying out for us.”
Fred has experience of working in Public Houses and holds a current Licence, and Alix comes to the partnership with the experience of running a busy household of 6, organising a Day Care Centre for the Elderly and latterly working in the Retail sector where she was responsible for Administration and Legal Requirements to ensure Trading Standards where adhered to, subsequently running and achieving a profitable turnover in a Coffee shop.
“After taking a look at the various options available we jumped at the chance to take on the Red Lion Hotel, Wainfleet, a Batemans’ Public House with Letting rooms and Restaurant. Since it’s closure in July 2007, it has laid empty. As it has been a popular destination in the past we would like to bring it back up to it’s former glory, providing Wainfleet a venue to be proud of. We aim to give our guests a top quality service and ensure that they have a comfortable and enjoyable stay with us, whether they are residential guests or visitors to our Restaurant. ”
There is a field at the back of the premises which in the past has been a certified Camping and Caravanning Site in due time Fred and Alix would like to rejuvenate this facility.
“Both of us enjoyed Caravanning very much before we opened the Red Lion, and hope that we may be able to offer the facility of parking up and pitching out before too long.”
Fred and Alix are keen animal lovers they have two dogs and a cat, and some tropical fish. Whilst at present there is no provision for pets at the Red Lion Hotel, this could change watch this space…
Fred and Alix extend a very warm welcome to all and look forward to seeing you at The Red lion, Wainfleet, Skegness.
